We've certainly written a lot about this new myYC portal project, but it would probably make more sense if we showed you some examples. The following lists are broken out into two categories: well-known (commercial) portals, and institutional (academic) portals. The former are typically open to anyone (signup for free and try it out), while the latter may be restricted in terms of who can register. The myYC portal gives students, faculty, employees and other myYC users the ability to create and manage online communities for clubs or other affiliations and interests.
These online communities can discussion boards, calendars, files, links, and more to help foster online group interaction.
